Hello, All. It’s another rainy day at the Village and things are busy as always. Here’s some of the things that are going on this month.
Group Tours are well under way! Spring is our busiest season but Summer is filling up quickly. The three tours we offer are for all ages and run throughout the year. The Village Tour is our basic tour package. Visitors will visit six Historic Buildings and gain introductory information about the Howell Iron Works, James P. Allaire, and his production. The Allaire Legacy Tour visits buildings not previously seen in the Village Tour. In addition to basic information, visitors will learn about what happened after James P. Allaire sold his village and its transformation into a present-day living history museum. The Environmental Tour explores the industrial village’s impacts on New Jersey’s ecosystem and will further explore industrial life. Want to spend more time at the Village! The Allaire Double Header Tour is also available. All tours have the option of shopping at our General Store and taking a ride on the Pine Creek Railroad. For more information about group tours click here.
We’re getting ready to start Townball! Games will be held on weekends in the Summer and visitors are invited to join in! Check out our lovely new scoreboard!

Ideally, we would like to compile visitors’ stories into a future publication or incorporate them into our blog! Please email hannahatallaire@yahoo.com for submissions or questions.
